What happens after the demand letter has been sent regarding an auto accident claim? Does anyone know the time frame that these things take? All I know is my lawyer sent State Farm a demand letter on April 9, about the accident that took place early last year. Do they usually take awhile to respond? Does state farm them give my lawyer a number, or is this for something else? Any help would be appreciated. Lawyer of course does not tell me anything.

My Grandparents had a trust set-up for my disabled Mother which would be used to take care of her after they were gone. My Uncle who is very interested in his own well-being manipulated my Grandmother into changing her will after my Grandfather had passed away. He changed the will to split up what little money is left three ways which will not cover her expenses. Also, my mother will require a guardian after my Grandmother is gone, and my Uncle has chosen to take on being the executor of the estate, but does not want to be her guardian. I contacted my Uncle and let him know the severity of the situation and that the will needs to be changed to take care of my mother and ensure she has a guardian. I explained the executor should be the same as her guardian as she could be located in another state. I want to sue on grounds that he manipulated my grandmother into changing the will and my Grandmother's competence into making these decisions at the time is also debate-able. After my initial contact with my Uncle - he blew me off and doesn't seem to care that much about the situation. Should I send him a formal demand letter via certified mail demanding that we come to resolution on this matter within 90 days or I will pursue legal action at the appropriate time?
